After revamping its mobile app to expand its product offerings, Mindvalley wanted to increase app installs at a lower cost.
Mindvalley worked with Facebook to compare Automated App Ads with its business-as-usual approach of using mobile app install ads. A Facebook Ads Manager feature, the automated ads allow up to 50 different images and videos, and up to five text variations. Dynamic creative optimisation automatically tests every combination of the various assets, finding and putting more budget behind the most effective ones. The best-performing ads then run across Facebook, Instagram and Audience Network.
For its Automated App Ads, Mindvalley used a series of 25 photo ads that featured the company’s various courses, activities and workshops available for sale on its website, with different ad copy options.
To understand the solution’s effectiveness, the learning company compared the results to its business-as-usual campaign of mobile app install ads, which it set up manually, including seven photo ads depicting different Mindvalley products.
Mindvalley optimised both campaigns for app installs objective, and served ads to a broad audience of people in Australia, Canada, the UK and the US.
